 Agreements & Values

The experience we have in the studio is a direct reflection of how we treat ourselves, others, and the equipment. These values enable us to create an incredible and purposeful space for all of us, instructors and students alike.

  •  use all equipment with respect. We will not drop, bang, or create unnecessary noise that may interfere with others in the building, including the downstairs rentals, upstairs office, or other businesses on the premises.

  •  leave all equipment clean, tidy, and ready for the next person, just as we found it.

  •  Arrive to class on time and stay for the entire class.

  •  Come to class clean and fresh, with consideration for the people sharing the space

  • We will not comment on our own bodies or other people's appearances.

  •  Turn off phone ringers and keep phones in a jacket, bag, or cubby rather than in the reformer basket. This is a good time to let go of our electronics and be present.

  •  Take time to get to know the other students in class. Building connection is an important part of creating community.

  •  Ask questions. If we are unsure about an exercise, equipment setting, or anything happening during class, we are encouraged to ask for help or an explanation.

  • We can expect verbal adjustments and alignment cues. Being corrected is not a judgment of our ability or our body. The instructor's job is to guide us, help us understand the movement, and help us get the most out of our time together.

  • Approach our bodies with curiosity rather than judgment. Notice the patterns of movement that are working for you and those that aren't.

  •  Have fun. Our classes don't have to be serious. There is room to work hard, make mistakes, explore, laugh, and enjoy moving.
